Position Overview:
SAP is used for its enterprise business services. SAP standard modules
namely FI, CO, MM, FM/RM, PS, travel, and workflow are used with minimum
customization. SAP has been heavily customized to meet some of the unique
business requirements of the Bank, such as STAR system for concessional
finance and iLAP system for loans administration. The SAP developer is
responsible for the development and support of the above-mentioned
standard/custom applications using SAP standard programming language ABAP.
MUST HAVE:
* 7+ years SAP R/3 ABAP
* FI & MM Module
Essential Job Functions:
* Develop and maintain Custom SAP Objects like screens, RFC, BAPI,
BADI, User exits, inbound and outbound interfaces, ABAP/4 Reports, ABAP
Query, and Report Writer and Report Painter reports in the areas of FI & MM
modules
* Write Low Level Design, Unit Testing Plan, and Unit Test case
documentation
* Design, develop, code review, bug-fix, and test the application
* Assist in Integration Testing
* Perform Code optimization and strictly adhere to bank coding
standards
* Assist in any documentation or any artifacts needed for OIS
clearance
* Coordinate day-to-day communication between team in Chennai and HQ
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience
Certification Requirements:
* SAP ABAP certification
Skills/Abilities Requirements:
* Ability to design and develop complex SAP objects, including module
pool
* Experience in SAP cluster tables and cluster programming
* Sound knowledge in SAP web service implementation
* Interface knowledge with SAP Components like PI, BI and external web
applications is a plus
* Exposure to SAP Fiori – UX, Personas is an added advantage
* Hands-on experience with SAP components like PI, BI and external web
applications
* Experience in writing interfaces between SAP and legacy systems,
including data migration, data validation, and data conversion
* Experience with ABAP/4 Query, ALV, and Report Writer and Report
Painter tools
* Experience with BAPI and RFC technology
* IT experience with SAP ABAP/4 programming
* Technical experience with FI (General Ledger, Special Purpose
Ledger), Controlling, Budgeting, and Funds Management, Travel, and Materials
Management modules of SAP
* Experience in Function Modules, RFC, Reports, BDCs, SMARTFORMS,
BAPI, User Exits & Enhancements, and Unicode based programming
* Good understanding and practical expertise with regards to software
development life cycle methodologies
* Good understanding of the following: database tables used in FI, CO,
FM, Travel and MM modules
* Hands-on SAP ABAP code optimization techniques
* Solid knowledge in the development and testing methodologies and
quality practices
* Strong communication skills and hands on experience in analyzing
user requirements and writing technical specifications
* Good written and oral communication skills in English
