Financial Client

The role supports the Solution Architecture & Engineering (SA&E) capability
(the practice) in ITS Global. The Solution Architect leverages required
tools, IT Standards and methodologies in leading all technical resources in
the creation of end-to-end Solution Architecture artifacts and documentation
for the assigned projects. Also fulfills the role of trusted advisor to the
business (or their representative) as part of an envisioning process as well
as providing technical/design oversight:

. Collaborate closely with business leads to understand their business
objectives, needs and challenges as well as the business processes that
support them.
. Define and evolve the solution approach that addresses the business needs
and challenges.
. “Own the solution” for those projects that are in your portfolio by
managing the solution creation process and driving those solutions to
completion by collaborating with a cross-functional team.
. Ensure that your solutions are designed and delivered on time and within
budget.
. Apply your technical skills to ensure that the resulting solutions are in
alignment with KPMG’s rigorous security, product standards and guidelines.
. Collaborate with project management enabling them to provide periodic
reporting conveying the status of the projects that are in your portfolio.
. Collaborates with Global, Regional and Local IT organizations on
end-to-end Solution design
. Leverage and develops architecture patterns and building blocks
. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture on IT standards, principles and
models.
. Provide technical leadership to virtual teams and as a subject matter
expert (SME) where appropriate
Excellent Microsoft Office (especially Visio and PowerPoint) and
communications skills.
. Able to demonstrate innovative design skills for an enterprise grade IT
Solution in the Azure Cloud using both IaaS and PaaS.
. Understanding of container solution architecture using Kubernetes and AKS
in the Cloud . Deep understanding of IT architecture (including Business and
Data architectures) and IT Standards
. Experienced with enterprise-grade software development in an Azure DevOps
environment (including CI/CD) Description of level of Qualifications (6-7
bullets max)
. Bachelor’s degree in a related field (i.e., Computer Science)
. 8 years’ experience with IT Architecture and with organizations similar to
KPMG (international, professional services companies).
. Microsoft Azure Certification is a must (Azure Solution Architect is
preferred)
. TOGAF 9, ArchiMate 3 certification is preferred (and BPMN is a plus)
Experience with performing analytical (and strategic) thinking, and of
moving strategic plans into action.
. Experienced with enterprise scale IT architecture development.
. Experience in working independently or as a member of various project
teams, personally managing your own work packages.
. Experience with interacting with all levels of the organization (from
junior staff to senior executives).
Experience with working effectively with a distributed international team,
across cultures and time zones with minimal supervision.
