Our insurance client has an immediate need for a long term contract in Boston/Brighton, MA.
Responsibilities
Provide software development and maintenance support for projects working with the Business Unit and the Operations Support department
Requirements gathering, elicitation by interacting with business
Responsible for implementing IT/Business projects
Supports all phases of Development leading to implementation
Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project and multiple projects.
Create or contribute to technical project documentation
Excellent communication skills
Experience Requirements
5+ years software development experience:
Java Technologies:
- Front end UI development experience on Ajax, JSPs, HTML, CSS , JavaScript
- Proficiency in Java 8 or later, scripting, J2EE, Webservices
- Prefer knowledge in insurance domain
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Extensive use of a Java script toolkit (Dojo a plus)
- Experience with a web framework (Spring, Spring MVC a plus , Java Application server’s (WebLogic/WebSphere/Tomcat framework), Struts
- Experience with Shell scripting (preferred)
Big Data related:
- Experience in Hive HQL
- Experience in oozie scheduling.
- Experience in Ingestion process to Hdfs
- Experience in handling different types of Hadoop file formats.
- Experience in AWS
- Proficiency in Python or Java

Education : Bachelor in Technology – Computer Science
