The ETL Developer will be responsible for mapping, design, development, unit test and deployment of Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes using SSIS or other tools designated for the purpose.
Responsibilities
- Source to target mapping
- Writing SQL code using both T SQL and PL SQL
- Set up ETL OLEDB, flat file and other source and destination connection managers
- Create various SSIS transformations and tasks as per requirements and best practices
- Create dynamic file paths, archival paths, for each loops, variables, parameters and expressions
- Deployments of ETLs between Dev, QA and Prod using SSSI config files and scripts
- Hands on Experience with deploying, checking in and out, exporting ETL packages using SVN
- Best practices/standard procedures for SQL, except SSIS
- Trouble shooting issues with ETL solutions
- Trouble shooting issues with script tasks using both C# and VB
- Familiar with different versions of Visual Studio and most recent additions
- Performance tuning SQL queries and SSIS solutions etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, proactive mindset and ability to multitask
- Enhancing and Automating (as applicable) current manual processes
- Debugging and monitoring SQL agent, syslogs and audit logs
- Handled at least 5 TB of data load
- In depth experience and knowledge about data warehousing methodologies and best practices
- Experience with generating data/files for front end applications
- Experience in health care domain, specifically claims, ADT and enrollment data
